Non-goals
The core research preview does not standardize:
- factual truth or source reputation;
- organizational approval, access control, or legal authorization;
- prompts, hidden reasoning, model configuration, or model providers;
- document retrieval, ranking, embeddings, indexes, or caches;
- runtime orchestration, agent loops, workflows, or user interfaces;
- learning, calibration, optimization, or outcome analytics;
- marketplace ranking, billing, or hosted-registry operation;
- a general-purpose programming, policy, query, or rules language;
- domain-specific ontologies, units, or regulatory vocabularies;
- a universal audit or event format.
Some may become separate profiles after demonstrated interoperability. Others should remain product concerns permanently.
The absence of a feature from JPS does not imply it is unimportant. It means independent exchange does not yet justify standardizing it.
